Olympia Warriors' striker Joffrey N'Koso has signed for Glenorchy Knights.

He trained with the Knights this evening at KGV Park and is expected to make his debut for the Knights on Saturday away to Kingborough Lions United at Lightwood Park.

N'Koso did not feature in Olympia's 10-1 win over Beachside last Saturday in the Round-of-16 Lakoseljac Cup game at Warrior Park.

N'Koso is believed to have been disappointed at his lack of game time for Olympia and this prompted his decision to leave the club and join Knights.

Knights will benefit from N'Koso's electric pace and technical skills.

He always impressed for the Warriors, especially when playing wide on the flanks.

He is a proven goalscorer and will enhance the Knights' attack.

Joffrey should have gone to South. It has the best culture of all clubs to learn to be the
best player you can be . He needs discipline for development and at a South he would have that.
He is a player with all the potential but if he doesn’t choose the right environment for him
he will not reach his potential.

Haha ,, seriously Walter ? He was disappointed at lack of game time ? So it wouldn’t have anything to do with the $10k sign on and the $700 a game he is getting ? I don’t blame him one bit don’t get me wrong good on the kid he’s brilliant but let’s tell the truth here shall we ,

Well, Darko, you know much more than I do then.

Darko I believe your comments are a little aggressive towards Walter don’t you think?
Players financial rewards are never published in media if they are indeed true at all . Walter should never publish
what any player is earning and he doesnt. Most of the time there is little truth in figures quoted on the rumour mill.
If Knights had to offer that type of money to get him there then maybe he has gone for the wrong reasons. To be paid that ,the club
would like a guarantee that he will score 20-25 goals for them . Nothing less.No one can guarantee that !
If that is the case then this move may well be a failure. There are reasons why he wasn’t getting game time at Olympia and the same
reasons will be present after settling in.

Oh Darko, the only Club that has anywhere near the money to pay those sort of figures are Olympia and maybe Devonport (and Kingborough for their imports but no one else at the Club). Check your facts as you might find a significant pay cut has occurred. I would be looking inwardly at what is going on at Olympia not outwardly to what is going on at other Clubs.

Darko you are obviously being very mischieveous or just stirring the pot to cause animosity. Young Joffrey was simply not happy at the Warriors, the new coach didn't think he fitted into his team plan so didn't play him and at times he trained with the reserves. Knights did not approach him, the money you speak of is ridiculous.

Dear Anon 7.55 , I never intended to sound in any way aggressive towards Walter as I respect his football knowledge more than any other commentator in the game , although on reading my comments it may seem as though he was not giving the whole story which is Not the way it was meant to sound ,, to clarify I was meaning whoever Walter got his information from was just not completely forthcoming and probably rightly so but I know for a Fact as do many others the back and forth bidding to buy/ keep the lad That said , whoever thinks that this sort of money paid to players is just confined to Devonport and Olympia you quite obviously are not n the know

Without sounding rude a Darko , is it anyone’s role to disclose what any player
is , has , had or isnt paid?
I dont think it is anyone’s business other than the player.
If you were privy to that information, and according to your original comments you indicate you were , then
that information should never be disclosed.
If I were Joffrey I would be pretty annoyed with you.
That is IF any of it is true.

Why do you think Walter, Bowman etc all left South? Money. Come on.

$10,000 sign on fee and $700 a game! Go and have a nice lie down Darko.

Dev have only ever supported the imports financially, but there is no sign on fee and isn't even close to $700 a game.

Darko, so you say that Joffrey was paid $700 a game and $10K sign on fee at Olympia, if that is there standard player payments i'm not sure how they survive even with the good sponsors they have. George must have very deep pockets indeed. Let me be very clear about this Joffrey was not poached by the Knights, they have not, will not and won't be paying him $10k sign on fee nor $700 a game. He was not happy at Olympia, so in your words "Lets tell the truth here" stop being deceptive and spreading or attempting to spread false information, you are obviously trying to cover up something. It couldn't be that Mr Brown was playing favourites was it. I mean would he have got the job in the first place it he hadn't promised to bring the twins along.

I spare a thought for the knights player who has toiled with Knights throughout 2 pre seasons pre and post Covid-19 only to lose his spot at the last moment.

anonymous July 15 1.35pm they left for better environments to play football. They simply were not happy where they were so left. I'm not necessarily talking about coaching issues, other players, style of football, training methods etc etc. It aint always about money mate.
