The Devonport keeper needs to get his eyesight checked real quick .Two long range goals from the sideline untouched was really under 14 stuff . However being able to get a wad of cash on Devonport to win at half time at $3 was absolutely awesome , well done boys

Kingsborough get a tough time on this blog, don't they?
I try and keep up with the NPL when I can, but a look at their results suggests comments about 'inconsistency' and what have you seem pretty baseless. At least of late!
They have only dropped points against Launceston in the last two months and that period includes wins against both South Hobart and Glenorchy (other top 4 challengers). They seem to be doing just fine. In actual fact it looks like the start of their season has cost them, but you can't deny they are the team to beat with Devonport at the moment, can you?
Yes and Olympia and Clarence never cop a beating on this blog. Its just not fair.
There's only 1 team that have taken points off Devonport and they are statistically the closest

Anon 12:40 There is a difference between squads. Kingborough has a squad that can challenge for the title and is expected to challenge for the title, therefore may cop criticism if they are inconsistent. Olympia on the other hand have a squad that might have an average age of 19, who are rebuilding after their successful stint over the last couple years and aren’t expected to challenge for the title or win many games…

Oh pollywaffle to your comment July 18 regarding Olympia having a squad of average age 19. Excuses for a poor performing team with a coach who has given up! Saturdays game had. Brayton Allen, Alex Holmes, Mitch Stalker, Jake Vandermay, Tyson Barrett and, Adam Pickup just off my head! There’s 6 players with plenty of NPL experience so doesn’t look like average age is 19 to me?
They’d need four 12 year olds playing to get the average age down to 19

Average age for players named on the Olympia Warriors NPL Tasmania teamsheet on Saturday was 22.13 years of age.
This is counted with players ages at December 31, 2022.
What research do you mean? Did I get the names of the players ( 6 of them) wrong? Am I wrong about them being experienced players? If I’m wrong please correct me with your research over mine. Thankyou. 6.59pm

Just looking at your maths some the bottom teams have some very old players that have played for them Loic for south and Clarence had a few old warhorses running around .
Thanks 12.33am for your great stats on club average age. Seems the post from July 19 at 10.21pm must be a cranky Olympia supporter suggesting Olympia are second last on ladder because they are young. Where in fact you have showed Olympia have the second oldest players behind Kingborough. So no excuses here for them to be failing due to age. Some experienced players there so I suggest research be done prior to making silly comments. Especially with the rebuilding comment lol
Imagine if research was actually done before making silly comments, there’d be almost no one left on this site.

Well Olympia are rebuilding. They have completely different squads compared to 2020 and have lost heaps of experienced players for a number of reasons. Losing nearly 2 squads worth of players over the last two seasons. They now have to build off their younger players as well as a few older experienced players. Yes they have a few older experienced faces but for most of the younger players it’s only their first or second season playing senior football. I wouldn’t say their senior coach has given up either, that’s a stupid comment from someone outside calling random shots. If the coach didn’t want to be there he would’ve been out the job. With an average squad age of 22 and the second lowest rank in experience I think the young warriors have been doing a great job recently.
Anon 8.05 am. Don’t think the comment about rebuilding was wrong mate. Have a look at Olympia’s squads compared to a couple years back. A large difference. They have had a complete clear out of players hence the lack of results this season and last. There’s not much the club can do but give their young and inexperienced players a go and build from there. The results will come sooner rather than later.
Olympia’s senior coach has given up? That’s the silliest comment I’ve seen on this page. He can’t make results happen. All he can do is help and guide the young and inexperienced. You obviously don’t know the coach, he’s a man that’s very committed to his club and tries his best to give his players the best chance at success and development. You’ve got no idea what you are talking about.

You can name 6 experienced players out of 23 in Olympia’s senior squad. Well done mate. The rest of the players in the squad were either playing champ or youth football in the past two seasons.

Dunno how the comment about Olympia rebuilding was silly mate. You can’t tell me Olympia’s situation with results and players is the same as it was 2 or 3 years ago. They don’t have the players they use to have. The club is building on the inexperienced players they have at the moment and therefore are rebuilding trying to get back to the club they were 2 or 3 years ago.
Ok so the fact that Olympia has lost over 20 players in npl, champ and champ 1 in the past two seasons means they are just as strong as they use to be… somehow people can’t see that it takes time for a club in a situation like this to get back to its best.
Hey Ben it would be interesting to know the median age of each team. Love your stats!
Now the $$$ are gone Olympia are just returning to their normal ladder position.
