Devonport Divers lucky again like last week. South were the better side just like they were at valley road. The way that some Dev players dive and winge is embarrassing for NPL football. Yet there rugby style tacking seems ok with them. Best side doesn’t always win football games
Halfway point in the Season and observations are
Launceston City are by far the most improved club and should be very proud of themselves
Kingborough are that hot and cold they must have the Flu !
Devonport have spent wisely once more and have secured another premiership no matter what style of Rugby they play !
Glenorchy have done enough to get 2nd prize if they don’t get any more injuries!
Olympia have done the right thing and let all the young guys get some experience throughout the season and will benefit from this year especially if they can find George’s wallet again !
Zebras should enjoy the big win as it’s probably one of the last they will get this season as they are atrocious and should be doing the same as Olympia !
South Hobart will once again be wondering what they have to do to win those hard games without going back to Morton soccer school !
Riverside ? Don’t know , but well done on scoring 2 and exposing the weak Zebras right backs again even though you got flogged !
Devonport Divers
You forgot to say they can not string 3 passes together always play the long ball and againg can not score goals!!!!!
If knights finish in the top 3 it's a miracle
They have no attackers no idea who 3 of the 4 players they finished with today even are and the guy that was put as a striker is a defender
Devonport have been very lucky for 6 or 7 years now
Scored 2 and sit top of the table you dill.
Wow ! Zebras doubled their season goal tally in one game , but still had two scored against them ?
9.55pm, want a tissue bud. Unfortunately for you they won even if they can’t pass. Doesn’t say much for South though does it buddy?
Devonport Divers
No I didn't say any of that was just reminding the person that put up the post they missed the other excuses that are used lol
Devonport have divers but south have a team of whingers. Constantly trying to influence the refs for a decision.
Really reaching in this analysis of the game with comments about ‘rugby’ and ‘diving’. If South were the better team they wouldn’t have lost all 3 of the matches between the two this year.
Devonport are physical, yes. It’s a facet of the game that some teams do well and other don’t. If teams can’t match it, they’ll continue to struggle.
South can only blame themselves. Why one earth would you continue to play Divin out wide for
most of the game ? He is much better in the middle and mobile . He may have caused the Devonport CB's some trouble. Nick M not good with back to goal. Better when he receives facing forward. Isky better out wide where he can use his pace and take players on, although he does become a little predictable. He is still better there than through the middle.
I thought a super coach like South's would realize that. Maybe they need to accommodate a few young players for various reasons ??????
