Questions need to be asked seriously what is going on there? A very very dark dag indeed.

Ask the coach maybe?

Olympia have 2/3 ex npl players far from over the hill I’d say after the early goals they simply gave up !!

Players unfit and giving up?

Anonymous said...

I wouldn’t say unfit mate, if fitness was the issue it would be a problem every game but giving up yes.

10 nil is a big problem

Olympia have a young team. It's a simple as that, experience wins most football matches

Yanni and s jimmy are 27 this year Burt 22/23 from that line up they missed Bruno but have a look at the sth east group hughy and Walsh the only older lads the rest are kids and I’d bet most are younger then the Olympia lads age had nothing to do with it it was attitude

I think you should have another look at south easts team before you say they are younger then Olympia. South east have a few older heads this year and looking at the stats and line ups Olympia have 5-6 players between 18 and 20. But yes attitude was the problem.

The slide downwards with Olympia began when Glen McNeill left.
The road the club took in those years immediately following that period or soon after is the reason.
They built an academy of some 120 players if not more, and the club let this slip to zero academy players eventually.
From there it was catch all the way with the wrong people heading up the club.
Olympias squad would not have one potential NPL standard player
If you think they have, you are dillusional.
They are on a fast downhill slide and have been for years now.
They may never recover from this.

The coach is the problem always blames others

Anon 8.40PM.
You may be right. Maybe club needs to take serious look at itself.
What they have been doing for last 5 years is obviously not working so they need to go in a different direction.
Their situation was not helped by FT employee planting the seed that Launceston should have another team in NPL.
That has worked well !

Agreed. Let’s face it, no Launceston club has done any good really since the NPL started
