Wow are you seriously going to just slam Clarence all year for not being in a position to buy players and just giving the younger players a go at so called top level football in Tasmania ? The question should be this year if your team ain’t beating them 10 nil what have you wasted your money on trying to buy premierships ? That is the yardstick so called top level teams should be measuring there talent pool from ! Give Clarence bashing a break for heavens sake !

I think more importantly, was there a defender in either side? 6-5 is having a go.

Gordo that is garbage mate. I coached in the state league in VIC a couple years ago and I had former and current pros, semi-pro players etc offering their services simply for accommodation and some even just for a job. I reckon even Metro could sort such an arrangement. If you simply cant offer rego paid, jobs, accommodation or some sort of incentive take your club to the championship.

Your missing the point old mate , firstly I don’t give a stuff about Clarence I’m just sick of all you Wally’s that bash them for giving there younger guys a chance at playing above there ages ! Tasmanian soccer will not be Tasmanian if we just import rejects from interstate and uni students from overseas just to try and win a premiership, you just don’t get it ! All the clubs should be bringing all there good juniors up with the older club seniors

Football's a global game. In every country in the world you'll have imports. Your argument is nonsense. If the youth are good enough they will get a game ahead of the "reject" imports! Good imports will always make a difference, just look at the 3 Koreans at Clarence and 3 Scots at Metro.

The NPL is about winning. Thats it. Winning. Not about youth having a go or playing players for development or loyalty or because their father is on the committee. It is about winning.
Clarence United do not seem to understand this. They should be in the social leagues below if they do not adjust their senior philosophy.
