Football Federation Tasmania held a low-key 2019 NPL Tasmania launch on the lawns beside the entrance to the Wrest Point Hotel Casino this afternoon.

Players representing the nine NPL Tasmania clubs  attended in their team's kit for 2019.

The media was given the opportunity to interview the players.

FFT CEO Matt Bulkeley was not in attendance.

Launceston City's NPL Tasmania coach, peter Sawdon, has resigned before the season has begun.

His replacement is assistant coach, Lino Sciulli, who coached Northern Rangers last season.

Sciulli is a former Launceston City player and coach.

WTF, why isn't the CEO at the launch?. You can except sickness or family matters but the CEO hasn't made any great statements about how they are going to change things for the better.
Rumours about Challenge as it's also falling apart.
This all stems back from the quick decision to have the NPl before Victoria and hosted the Final at KGV with Sydney United. I bet they thought how good are we.
Well many years on and the under pinning structures are still a mess.
NPL clubs should just play NPL clubs from U/6- Seniors and Championship teams play against each other simple!
Last year of the old SPL I can remember that every club that played and DIV 1 had seniors, reserves, U/19, U/15,u/13 teams Etc but look now a lot of clubs are full and other have none.
So where is the game going as you can't trust FFA as in the greyhound game FFA stands for FREE FOR ALL.
I think we would all like to hear from FFT.

Wow so professional football is here. good job its only seasonal a few months that's all.fft must be busy all year

Walter, any idea why the u18 summer cup had a bye for two of the six teams? Too hard for fft to organise a third game?

What do FFT do in the off season apart from early afternoon leave passes where is our money going to .

Walter said...

I have no idea why there was a bye for two of the Under-18 teams.

Thanks Walter. Now the preseason youth games have been postponed that were meant to commence this week. Perhaps you could ask the fft powers next time you speak with them what is going on?

And to add to the stupidity kingbourgh pulled out of the 18s summer cup a day beofre kick off (not for the first time) so Beachside and olympia play each other twice !!!

The same happened with the youth last year and the season is still a long way off.
football in this state for youth seems to have the longest preseason going around

The Morton Soccer School would have enough players to run a competition of its own , and probably more interesting !

FFT have cancelled the youth games because it wants a huge ground at, KGV so they can say what a great job they are doing the REST OF THE LEAGUES THEY DONT CARE ABOUT!

Word is FFT to face a no confidence vote if things don't improve watch this space .

It would not be undeserved. Organisations like CRJSA seem to be able to do simple things like rostering properly without stuff ups and delays.

Anonymous said...

That's because the CRJSA have Leila doing the rosters. Leila knows the competitions very well and considering Leila does the rosters from Queensland and everyone gets the information about game changes. what I like is that you don't have to organise your catch up games as you do in youth.
I consider the CRJSA streets in front of FFT with the communication and organising skills and they are volunteers.
For whatever reason we keep excepting mediocracy from FFT year in year out.

I dont believe that. Who will have guts to be first to put up ygrir band? If true why wait to see if things get worse?

The movement is getting stronger every day .

Yes a movement on Walters blog and in your own minds.
