Thought Riverside looked alright today except for a bad 10 minutes leading into the half... Olympia obviously took their foot off the gas in the second half but if they kept with it in the lead in to half time might have had an upset.
Interesting to see who Uni draw and how they play from here. Beat Launnie City as well as Kingborough and Clarence in pre-season. You'd think all of the sides from here in are better than them but if they get some one on a off day they might sneak into the final
Great to have two quality refs at Clare St in Stratos and Josh.
A great jog
thank you
I reckon Shane's taking the piss out of FFT after last week not out on Stratos and Josh as they are quality to make a point.
I believe that Eagles had to supply an AR for the reserves game against Taroona.
I made the comment last week that Uni are a good side and it doesn't matter who they play in the semi will find they are no push over.
I don't support Uni but do admire how disciplined the side is and again I repeat (FFT)I would love to see Uni in a revised NPl competition next year.
There are no reasons why the NPL can not be split like (Vic)and go to a North & South. There structure works very well due to it wasn't rushed and they took their time to make sure it works well. FFT you could learn a thing or two by visiting or even talking to Vic football about how well it works.
This is probably the simplest way to fix the under pinning structures below.
The Challenge League has been a waste of seven year of football, has it improved over this time? Does it fit in with the NPL? Does it stretch resources to the limit? Does it turn Volunteers time in to all weekend?
I would say yes to all of this but it seems to continue. The question is why?
The reason why a split NPL wont work is that you wont have the best teams playing the best teams as often. South might work , but North/North West would not.
Go back to eight Npl you have to keep Devonport in with southern teams to strong.put challenge teams in southern Championship and you’ll find the kids will be strong challenge sides
No Championship club want the Challenge league team in it's competitions.
if you remember this happened in the first year of NPL and what a shambles that was.
secondly Challenge can not play in the Southern Championship as there is promotion and relegation to the NPL.
10.38 you are going to have to come up with a better idea.
Challenge teams would be to good.keep them out
Who's challenge league team would be too good Clarence Kingborough. Seriously they would be flogged by the likes of Uni, Hobart united.
Some dream
I'm not taking the piss as suggested.
Have you ever sat down and spoken to Stratos as he explains very well his decisions and why which I appreciate as it gives me a better insight to Stratos's decision making.
