Nelson Eastern Suburbs awards presented at function last Saturday

Andrew Gaskell won Nelson Eastern Suburbs’ Division One side’s best-and-fairest award at the club’s trophy presentation evening last Saturday.

Rowan Sakul was the best-and-fairest player in the reserves, Rhys Endall in the Under-19s, and Dylan Forbes in the Division Three side.

Oliver Ireland was the recipient of the ‘Best Club Person’ Award.

Oliver Burdon received the club’s goalkeeping award.

Nelson’s Division One Reserves won the title and the Premiership Cup and winners’ medallions were presented to coach Dean Melville and the players.

Medallions were also presented to the players and coach of the women’s team that won the Under-16 Knockout Cup. The team was coached by Michelle Castle.

Ryan Mills was the Nelson Division One senior side’s leading marksman.

Jordan Brighella was the Division One Reserves’ leading scorer.

Ethan Brighella was the leading scorer for the Under-19s, while in the Division Three side, Shane Moore and Simon Walker were the joint top scorers.

In Women’s Division One, the leading scorer was Maddy Smith, and she was also named as the best-and-fairest award winner.

Gabby Morrison took out the same honours for the women’s Division Two team.

Newcomer Sophie Ellston was named as the Division Two side’s most improved player.

The ‘Aaron Wojcik Personality Award’ was won jointly by ‘Kung Fu’ Ali Kabalan and Rob ‘The Real Deal’ Ball.

Well done richard as host was a fantastic night,only downside was the altercation between morley and nobbits later that night at the shoreline, also goodluck to richard for your wedding next week its going to b a beauty
