Didn't David Clarkson play for Brighton and Hove Albion? He was a Tasmanian close to playing for the Socceroos.

I see Brighton are in League One, but I thought they got as high as the Championship.

WALNUT TREE says..

What an amazing game, one of the best HAL games I have seen. It's easy to review the sides as it was a talenof two halves,

We were superb in the first half, we really took it up to the Roar, and on top of that we stopped them from playing their passing game, I think they were a bit shellshocked. We deserved the goal, good one to.
I think we sat back in the second half, we allowed the Roar to play their passing game, and when they get into the rhythm, it's almost impossible to get them out of it. A couple of close goals, but they got what they deserved, a well worked goal.
In the end we were unlucky to lose, both teams deserved a share of the points, but good effort Heart!

Barbarouses tried his heart out, was impressed by him
Sibon and Worm were awesome in the first half
Franjic came on and produced more then Steffanutto, but poor penalty, and why did he take it?

Also, the Kiwi commentator is the new 'Captain Obvious', he has a knack to tell us the most obvious things

Alf, David Clarkson did indeed play for Brighton and Hove Albion after leaving Tasmania and he also played in Hong Kong before returning to Australia and captaining South Melbourne Hellas in the old NSL.

A Tasmanian goalkeeper, Brett Williams, also trialed with Notts County. It was arranged by Eamonn Kelly.

I've included the results of Tranmere Rovers, Accrington Stanley and Hartlepool because there are Tasmanian connections at those clubs now.
