McKenna moves on and may well don the goalkeeping gloves again

Michael McKenna is leaving Football Federation Tasmania.

He has been in the position of Competition and Communications Manager at FFT for under one year.

He has accepted a position with the Sports Association of Tasmania Independent Schools and submitted his resignation to FFT today.

“Mike has made a significant impact with Football Federation Tasmania in just under a year, in the area of competition management and communication with our members,” said FFT CEO, John Boulous.

“I am sure that all member clubs of FFT will join with me in wishing Mike all the best in his new role.”

McKenna is known to be considering returning to the game as a player.

He was one of the best goalkeepers in the State when with Olympia and Metro and may well don the gloves again next season.

Sad to see Mick leaving FFT. It was good to have a recent player be a part of the FFT scene as he would have given lots of insight to what needed to be implemented as see through the eyes of a more recent player.
Still, he is still young and to get the oppotunity to score past him a few more times would give me pleasure!!!
Might see you on the pitch Mckenna.

sorry to see someone with an imaginative viewpoint leaving .

Let us hope his replacement will be as approachable.

From the reverse perspective I hope he sorts out SATIS, as a coach of a girls football team in SATIS it's a very neglected and poorly run competition.

It shows the state of fft and ffa when their best employees leave to take up something they dont have a passion for as its a better job

Michael McKenna was an asset to FFT. A shame he is leaving.

It is also a shame John Burnett and Kimberley Hale left too.
The aforementioned trio were all assets to the organisation.

Why do good people keep leaving the FFT?

Does somebody at FFT permeate fetid air or suffer from severe flatulence?

Three CEOs had limited tenure and left.

Kenneth Hanson left.

There must be a reason for the exodus after ephemeral periods of employment.

With McKenna leaving this will make Boulos job even harder

It will be interesting to see where FFT goes from here.

I wish him the best in his new job.
