why is pitchy on the field?

How bloody typical of South - Dean Wilcock? Fishy? What about giving the young players a go - aren't practice matches a chance to try them out?

plenty of youngsters got a run today as well - Pennicott, Williams, Di Falco and MacIntyre.

Others were either injured or unavailable.

Personally I think it's great to see Dean Willcock back one of souths fiercest competitors

Anonymous 7.05pm, I asked George the same question and he said he wanted to try the other two keepers, neither of whom can play on the field, so Pitchy was used on the field rather than in goal.

I hate seeing players training and playing preseason games with several Clubs - what's going on there?

Good game for the first 20.. Eagles had some good chances sth back four did not handle the long ball well again dogga is not a centre half, new asian guy at the back looked good as did all the other asian players will be good inclusions if they stay.. Kosta should take a chill pill but south showed some good quality that is expected, interesting to see mac and fish playing again.. Eagles well if that is their depth to have Pitch on the field and no real subs I would be worrying.. Hope that back line will be back soon.. predictions a long season hope no injuries or things could go south!!

Willcock was one of the best fullbacks in the state a few years back and great to see him having another go. South played OK, not great. the frenchman looked a bit lost. the koreans were reasonable but wont set it on fire. dogga not a centre half? joking? must be one of the best in the state. sam macca is class. eagles looked frustrated all day.

dogga is the best centre back in the league and that korean bloke would not be in tasmania if he played for fluminense unless he is 68 years old

IF i recall, the last time Pichford played on the ground he was out for a year. When are these coaches going to wake up. If he is a keeper, then play him as keeper, regardless if there is no subs or other players.

dogga had an ordinary day by his high standards but anyone is entitled to start pre-season a bit rusty.
